Food Porn Party – Bow Chica Yum Yum

Hiya!

Once again, I’ve been M.I.A but only because my schedule has been crazy. Oh, responsibilities!

In the midst of my days being turned upside-down like a snow globe, Leo and I were invited by Jarlsberg USA to the NYC FOOD FILM FESTIVAL. What a perfect way to relax and enjoy a night of great food and film! We attended The Food Porn Party screening and experienced food in a whole new way. As naughty as that title sounds, we did not participate in any food smearing, removal of clothing, or any other food/sex related fetishes. I love food but not enough to make sweet, sweet love with it. Instead, we intensely viewed several short films all with a common theme – no dialogue, no prolonged plot, just straight up extreme close-ups of food. Not only did the films provide mouth-watering visuals, but the accompanying bites delivered satisfaction on a plate…or four. As we watched each film, the food featured in that specific film was passed out to the audience. We sat through gorgeous, sexy shots that teased us through visual foreplay, and then deployed delectable treats to create a unique experience. This was food porn at its climax, heh. Going to the movies and buying a bucket of popcorn and a pack of Sour Patch Kids will never satisfy me the way this film festival did. My favorite dish of the night was from the film, Dinner for Two because lobster was served! Although that was a beautiful film, my favorite was How to Make a Turtle Burger. For a film showing you how to make a “turtle” burger by sticking hot dogs into a meat patty, it was delightfully intriguing and  just plain fun! The moment we left the screening theater, we both agreed that we should submit a food porn film entry for next year! It should be so much fun to film!!

I also had the opportunity of meeting the wonderful Ronnie Campbell from Jarlsberg USA. She had been so helpful with the generous cheese products provided for my last two Tasty Memories episodes! Along with other food sponsors, they set up a great tasting table filled with yummy Jarlsberg and Woolwich Dairy products. I even tried goat’s milk mozzarella for the first time and really enjoyed it!
