Let's Have a Quickie

June 11, 2014

It’s easy to see why the caipirinha is Brazil’s most popular cocktail! It’s citrusy with a mellow sweetness and is incredibly refreshing. What’s not easy is its pronunciation. I’ve enjoyed several caipirinhas but could never say it with confidence. I’d just refer to it as “That Brazilian drink.” Hopefully this helps you like it helped me: caipirinha sounds like kai-pee-reen-ya. Cachaça (the spirit it’s made with) sounds like ka-shah-sah.

Got it?

Don’t worry about it — the recipe is easy part.
