Hearty Green Chips

A crispy crunchy leafy crisp!

Kale is awesome, but we need to stop letting it gatekeep the green chip world. Hearty greens about to go bad? Save the waste! Radish greens, beet greens, collard greens, spinach, and so much more can be turned into crispy, crunchy chips. You’re a snack and need a snack to match. Enjoy!

PREP TIME

5 minutes

COOK TIME

15 minutes

INGREDIENTS

The Ingredients:

  • 2-3 Swiss chard leaves, washed and thoroughly dried

  • 2-3 collard greens, washed and thoroughly dried

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Seasonings of your choice!

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Cut out the stems and stem ribs from all the leaves and tear them into smaller pieces. Then transfer the swiss chard leaves to one bowl and the collard greens into another bowl.

  2. Drizzle each bowl with olive oil, add seasonings, and gently toss the greens to coat evenly.

  3. Spread the seasoned leaves across the two baking sheets (swiss chard on one sheet and collard greens on the other). Make sure not to overcrowd them to ensure each leaf gets as crispy as possible.

  4. Bake for about 10-15 minutes or until they are crispy. The bake time depends on the types of greens you are using as some green takes longer to become crispy than others.

  5. Season with more salt if desired and enjoy immediately!
